Mechanical/Physical Hazards

•   Cutting tools and brackets may break during use

•   Metal chips may be very hot and have sharp edges. Do not move the chips directly with your hands. Chips may cause skin burns and eye damage.

•   Ensure that the blades and parts are properly secured in the base before use to prevent them from loosening during use. Excessive overhang may cause vibration and tool damage/breakage.

•   Be sure to wear appropriate personal protective equipment and ensure that all machine protective devices and safety interlock devices are installed in place before and during operation to ensure processing safety.

•   Do not use any tools or products with signs of damage. Please send the product to the appropriate location for repair, replacement, or recycling

•   Use appropriate safety protection plates or machine closure devices to safely collect chips and other particles or cutting materials that may be thrown out

•   When performing rough machining, deep cutting, or machining large diameter workpieces - ensure that the machine tool has the required torque and power

•   At high speeds, the weight of the blade and clamping element increases, which can affect the clamping device. It is recommended that all high-speed manufacturing be carried out only in well protected machine settings. Before installing the blade, please ensure that the blade and blade holder are intact and free of burrs or any particles, otherwise it may seriously affect the clamping device. When tightening screws, be sure to use the correct clamping force. Attention: A 19 gram blade can weigh up to 350 kilograms at a speed of 37500 rpm

Hazards of dust and smoke

Hard metal products and cutting tools must not be re ground or polished without taking appropriate safety measures to prevent contact with dust, such as ventilation and wearing personal protective equipment. The grinding, cutting, burning, and welding of hard metal products may generate dust or smoke, which can be inhaled or swallowed into the body, or come into contact with the skin and eyes. Dust may cause respiratory inflammation and irritate the nasal cavity, throat, skin, and eyes. According to reports, repeated inhalation of high concentrations of hard metal dust can lead to hard metal diseases (pulmonary interstitial fibrosis). In a two-year study of mice, inhaling cobalt was found to cause cancer.

Sensitization hazard

Long term contact with uncoated hard metals on the skin may cause allergic reactions. When handling hard metal products and cutting tools, avoid direct contact with the skin or wearing gloves to minimize the risk of skin allergic reactions. Cobalt and hard metals are well-known sensitizers, and repeated exposure to them may cause allergies. Sensitive individuals may experience asthma or eczema reactions.

Before using the product, it is necessary to repeatedly read and understand the safety data sheet or safety information sheet for that specific product.

Preventive Measure

•    Avoid dust formation and inhalation. Take sufficient local exhaust ventilation measures to keep individual exposure far below the limits allowed by national standards.

•   If ventilation is not possible or insufficient, use a specialized gas mask recognized by national standards

•   Avoid skin contact and wear appropriate gloves. After the operation is completed, thoroughly clean the skin.

•   Wear well fitting protective clothing. Clean protective clothing as needed.

•   Do not eat, drink or smoke in the work area. Thoroughly wash the skin before eating, drinking, or smoking.

•   When necessary, use goggles or glasses with side shields.

•   Suitable safety equipment must be worn.

•   The machine can only be operated after all necessary protective devices, interlocking devices, and other safety equipment have been installed and activated.

•   Do not use or operate damaged tools or products
