The DC150 was launched globally in September 2014.

DC150 fills a gap: It is not only a precise drilling solution, but also fills a gap in the Walter product range. The cutting industry is diverse, and some mature solutions are as stable as the products themselves. There is still a reason for the existence of older, slower equipment in addition to high-tech production lines. Under such production conditions, many tools do not fully achieve their theoretical performance parameters. For these customers, the DC150 is a good choice: they can benefit from the full quality of Walter without paying a penny for features they will never use. Versatile and easy to change: The DC150 is widely used for all materials and all fields, especially in the general mechanical industry. The economic advantage of the new product line Perform is particularly noticeable in products with a small number of parts. Unlike batch production, where material changes are frequent. Machine operators often have a hard time keeping track of the remaining tool life. The risk of tool breakage is therefore increased. With the DC150 product, customers always benefit from process reliability and ensure cost efficiency without having to replace tools too early.

Wide selection scope: The newly developed product series is very extensive and will be supplemented step by step. From the beginning, the DC150 has nearly 400 main sizes, suitable for common drilling processing, such as products with 3xD and 5xD with external or internal cooling.
